Looking Back on the Weekend...Theatre Yay!

I have to get into the habit of taking my camera with me everywhere again now! I haven't really taken photos in so long it's crazy.

I had such a great weekend, even with all the assignments I had to do.

I finished all my assignments that were due! Yay! I was a machine honestly, never before have I written a 1700 word essay so quickly.

I also managed to head out. On Friday I took a break from the assignments and headed to Mini Golf with my bestie. It was indoor mini golf, which was good 'cause it was FREEZING outside, damn winter starting!

That's my bestie =) she's amazing!

I also got a new phone!! Yay! It's an IPhone and I love it, and it kind of eliminates the need for my ordinary point and shoot camera since I still don't have a fancy one.

On Saturday I got to head out again, so I went to Scared Scriptless, which is an Improv theatre type thing, and it was awesome! Honestly, if you are in Christchurch and haven't been for some reason, it's cheap entertainment for a Friday or Saturday night. Check out the Court Theatre website for details.

I have also decided that in a couple of weeks I am going to go see their production of Much Ado About Nothing, which so happens to be my favourite Shakespeare. I am really excited.

How was everyone's weekends? Long weekend for me next weekend so I'm looking forward to that!

I'm Back...Kind of

Hey everyone, that is if there is anyone there still?

I can't believe I have been go for so long!! Not much has actually happened since my last post, which makes me super boring, but oh well.

Master L has just turned 4, I am in my last year of Study, YAY! looking at doing my Honours next year, but we will see.

I felt the need to post, so I did this one, but I also thought I would quickly write a hello again. 

I have missed you all, and I am so sorry about my absence, I hope to make it up to you and become a loyal reader of your blogs, and a frequent poster once again.

Look To The Stars

Sometimes, when things get hard, or you lose your way, how do you know what to do?

Which direction do you take?

When life gives you so many options that it can get overwhelming, how do you know which option to choose?

Life is full of so many different options, and sometimes the best thing to do is take a break. Give yourself some time out to let yourself reevaluate, reflect, and then, maybe you will be able to make a wise {or unwise, since we always grow from our mistakes} decision.

Sometimes, when you need a break, take a minute, step outside, and look towards the stars.

They may not hold the answers. they may not be able to give you what you want, or tell you how to live your life.

But, there is something so simple, something so beautiful, peaceful almost, and all you need to do is look upwards.

The stars are these amazing things in the universe. To you they look tiny, but remember, they really are much, much, bigger than they seem.

So are you!

It may feel like life is trying to overwhelm you, that you have no idea which path to take. It may feel like you are tiny compared to everything else, but remember, like the stars, you too can make something huge, you can be huge, in whatever way you want to be, you can shine just as much.

Maybe, just maybe, remembering that you too can be like the stars in the sky, will help you realise the path you want to take, it will let you decide the best way to make you shine brightly.

So the next time you need to think, look to the sky, and think, think about what will make you be that star.

Hey all,

Ok, so I know I haven't posted in about a month, let alone commented/visited any other blogs.

To be honest, I can't be bothered. I am hardly on the computer any more, and when I am, I have nothing I want to blog about. 

I could quite easily make up things about what an awesome time I'm having doing things, and with my 'perfect' family. But the truth is, it would be just that - lies.

So, this is just a quick post to say that I may be back at some stage, and I hope that you will stick around for when I do decide to come back, but right now, you won't be hearing from me much (unless you follow me on twitter - @tammyroses)

Dreams

Have you ever had the feeling that you aren't following the correct path in life?

That something more is meant to be happening...
I kind of feel like that at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I love that I am going to be a teacher, I mean why else would I be doing it? But sometimes, I feel as though there is so much more that I am meant to be doing.  It's this feeling in the pit of my stomach, and in my heart, that is telling me I have so much more to give to the world. So much more to give to myself. Dreams are big, and many people give up on their dreams.
I don't want to give up on my dreams, I don't want to be living a life of 'what ifs'. I don't want to regret the paths I never travelled. Yes, I am only young, and yes I do have my whole life ahead of me. But what better time to start then now?
So my dear followers, I'm going to let you in on a little secret.
When I was a little girl, I had an awesome imagination {can't say I was good at looking in a thesaurus though, or I would have used a different word than awesome}, and I would put it to good use.  My favourite {and best} subject was literacy, especially creative writing. Many of my teachers commented on my love for writing.
And this leads me to this revelation. I am going to {attempt to} write a book. I don't know if I will get there {have enough ideas}, and I don't know how long it will take me, but it is something that I have been wanting to do for so long now, I may as well try.
If you are lucky, and I am confident with it, I may share short pieces with you every now and then.

Because, what is life if you don't follow your dreams...

Fill In The Blank Friday...or Saturday

Ok, so I thought this week I would start doing Fill in The Blank Fridays {or Saturdays in my neck of the woods} with Lauren @ The Little Things We Do. I have been reading these every week over at Perfectly Imperfect, and thought I may as well have a go. 

1.   My favorite thing about this week was/is    Half weeks at Uni, passing my placement, and going to watch the fireworks tonight!

2.   Colder weather makes me  Shiver, thankfully it's coming into summer now, and boy am I looking forward to it.

3.  Three things that make me terribly happy as of late are   Friends, Family {including L}, and late night text messages .

4. If I could only wear one kind of shoe for the rest of my life, I'd choose   Either my ballet flats, or my wedges, both are super comfy, and super cute.

5.  My personality type is   Apparently, I am a mix of different personality types. I can be the loud, energetic, and bubbly distracting one, or I can be the quiet one who just wants to get things done.

6.  I have a serious problem resisting    Lollies/Chocolate, and the shoe section in shops, I don't need any more but I look anyway.

7.  My favorite color to wear is    I like pinks, blues, creams/white, and any other neutral colour that will go with anything .

Alright, I know I posted about my shop a while ago, and there hasn't been any activity in there for AGES! And I also know I posted about these earrings ages ago too.
