Miss Mommy is having a linky party - Tuesday Ten. Ten things - any ten things. I had a thought about it, and eventually decided I would share with you ten things that I have found on pintrest that I would LOVE to make. I have only started pinning this past week, and it is fairly addicting! And probably the worst thing for me to be looking at when my focus should be on assignments. But anyway, here I go, drum roll please.... {ONE}

DIY Bath Crayons - I think L would love these for in the bath {TWO}

These childrens sling chairs are amazing, and sound so easy to make. Even better is the fact the sling can be changed. {THREE}

Wrapping up the weekend {Sunshine and Farm trips}

Ahh the weekend, sad to see it end, but also exciting because it means only 1 week until I start my next placement.

We took the dogs for a walk on Saturday, and on the way back we stopped at the park so Master L could have a play.

and today {Sunday}, I cleaned out my drawers and wardrobe, and got a pile of old clothes to put into the clothing bins {I never realised how many clothes I had that I never wore}

And then we went to visit my brother and his partner for dinner. He lives on/runs a farm, and it's calving season, so Master L had a great time with them and watching the cows being milked. I wasn't too keen on getting my camera out in the milking shed, so here is a pretty bad picture of him feeding a calf.

With all the snow and bad winter weather that we have had lately, the sun has been a great addition to each day.

And what better way to celebrate the warmer weather than with a salad. I have been hanging out all winter for a delicious salad to accompany a sunny {and warm} day.

This salad is my 'famous' salad, it's so simple but so delicious, and every time I am invited to a BBQ I get asked to make it.

I just take pasta spirals and cook them in boiling water for 5 minutes {I don't let them cook fully or it is too soft}

I take some capsicums {bell peppers - any colour} and dice them up

And sometimes I add a red onion.

Once the pasta is cooked, I instantly run cold water over it so it stops cooking, I then put the diced pepper and onion, and mix it into the pasta with about 100g mayonnaise and 100g potato salad dressing {I don't actually measure it, I normally just go with taste}

This also tastes really good with a vinaigrette dressing too.

Over the past few days I have been making myself a thread organiser.

It's not finished yet, but here is a peek.

I had a big 1200mm X 600mm board, so I cut it in half {which ended up being too big still}

I then measured 5cm in from each edge, and then marked at 5cm intervals, I did 5 rows of this.

I then cut the dowelling down to 7cm each piece

Then, I tried gluing them straight on, but it didn't work. So, I got the drill out and drilled a hole that the dowel would fit nicely in, put a blob of glue and the dowelling, and left it to dry.

{I used gorilla glue, and the guy at the shop told me it would dry clear - not only did it not dry clear, I also didn't know it expanded}

All I need to do now is get rid of the dried/expanded glue that is where I don't want it {I now know not to use that glue for things like this!} and then cut it down a bit more, and then paint, paint paint! Linking up today at

Bedtime Routine

Every night, we go through the same routine.

Bath, brush teeth, read books, bed, sleep.

If only it were that easy.

After bath Master L decides to get very hyper {Why do baths calm everyone but him down}.

He is fine getting into bed and reading books with me, but then comes the going to sleep part.

I literally have to sit there with him, and rub his back as he goes to sleep {I know I shouldn't do that, but I give in too easy!} Sometimes it takes 5 minutes, and sometimes it can take an hour.

You see Master L doesn't like to sleep much at all, it is a very rare occurrence that he sleeps through the night in his own bed, normally he ends up in my bed with me.

Tonight has been no different, in fact, he was meant to be asleep in bed over an hour ago, he is still awake!
It wouldn't matter so much if it weren't 9pm...so away I go for round 2 of putting him to bed.

Wish me luck...

Yesterday, Master L had to come with me to my class {which was only two hours} as he was still not taking his medicine from his op, so wasn't able to go to preschool. Surprisingly, he lasted over an hour {which is really good}. But then again, it was a drama class I had so we weren't just sitting still. He ended up getting very fidgety, and I could tell people were starting to get annoyed, so we packed up and left for home. He was fine to go to preschool today, so I was able to go to classes as normal. It was great having him with me and then going home and spending the rest of the day with him, but also if I want to get this degree, I need to give all my attention when I am in class.

I felt like doing some decorating today. We don't really decorate our house much {except for photos etc}, but Mum has had this vase sitting around for ages, and I have been seeing these yarn balls everywhere. I suddenly thought, why not make some balls to sit in the vase for on the table - that way, the vase is being used and not just sitting around.

So, I made some of the yarn balls, in yellow and white, for spring colours {YAY spring starts next week!}

I put them in the vase, and realised that the smallest ones are still too big to go right to the bottom, so I have some smaller ones drying as I write.

I was going to make a table runner to match, but I have no yellow fabric {WHAT! no yellow - I MUST buy some ASAP} so for now, it is sitting on the big place mats.

{close up} Have you stared or are you going to decorate for the new season, whether it be spring, or fall/autumn?
